Frequently asked
questions

Your account, the products, billing and monitoring, all in one place. Not covered here? We usually reply within one business day.

Account & signing in

One Infaris account for every Infaris product.

What exactly is Infaris?

Infaris is the account you use to sign in to all of our products: Guard for monitoring, Files for encrypted file sharing, QR and Sync. Sign in once, and your organisation, team members and billing are the same everywhere.

How do I sign in?

With your email and password, with a passkey, or through Google, GitHub or Microsoft. Business organisations can also connect their own single sign-on to their domain.

Can I turn on two-factor authentication?

Yes. Under Account → Security you can enable an authenticator app (TOTP) or a passkey, and generate recovery codes in case you lose your phone. Organisation admins can require verification for everyone.

I forgot my password. What now?

Request a reset email from the sign-in page. If you also lost your second factor, use one of your recovery codes. If neither works, email support@infaris.com from the account's email address.

How do I delete my account?

Cancel any active subscription first, then email your deletion request to support@infaris.com. We remove your account and its data; anything we're legally required to keep, such as invoices, is described in our privacy policy.

Teams & organisations

Collaborating, roles and invitations.

What's the difference between my personal workspace and an organisation?

Your personal workspace is only yours. An organisation is built for collaboration: members, roles and a single subscription for the whole team. Monitors, status pages and invoices belong to the organisation rather than to a person, so they survive someone leaving.

How do I invite team members?

Go to Account → Organizations, pick your organisation and send an invitation to your colleague's email address. Invitations are valid for seven days and can be re-sent.

Which roles are there?

Owner, admin and member. Owners and admins can manage members and change or cancel the subscription; members work with the monitoring but don't get access to billing.

Can colleagues on our company domain join automatically?

Yes. An admin can attach a verified domain to the organisation, after which anyone who signs up with an email address on that domain lands in the right organisation instead of an empty personal workspace.

Subscription & billing

Plans, paying, changing and cancelling.

Which plans are available?

Two paid plans: Professional and Business. Both include every feature; they differ in volume and speed, such as the number of domains and how often we check. When one dimension outgrows your plan you top that up per unit as an add-on, instead of being forced onto a more expensive tier.

How does the free trial work?

You start with seven days free on a paid plan, no credit card needed. If you do add a payment method, you're only charged after the trial ends, and you can stop before then at no cost.

Which payment methods do you accept?

Credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express), iDEAL, Bancontact, Klarna and Link. Billing is monthly and runs through Stripe; we never store card details ourselves.

Can I change plans later?

Yes, upgrade or downgrade whenever you like via Account → Billing → Change plan. You see the cost before you confirm: on an upgrade we only charge the difference for the remaining period.

How do I cancel, and what happens then?

Through Account → Billing → Cancel. We briefly ask why, show you an alternative if there is one, and then confirm with the exact date your access runs until. You won't be billed again, everything keeps working until that date, and you can undo the cancellation in one click until then.

Where do I find my invoices?

Under Account → Billing you'll find all your paid invoices, each with a PDF to download for your records.

We need more than Business. Is that possible?

Get in touch. For larger environments, MSP setups or specific requirements we'll put together a tailored proposal.

Monitoring (Guard)

Checks, alerts, status pages and integrations.

How fast can I set up my first monitor?

Under two minutes: sign in, paste a URL, done. No DNS changes, no agent and no configuration required.

How often do you check my site?

Every 60 seconds on Professional, every 30 on Business. The speed add-on gets you to 30 seconds on Professional too.

Which locations do you check from?

By default from the Netherlands, Germany, the United States and the United Kingdom, so a regional outage doesn't go unnoticed.

How am I alerted when something breaks?

By email, Slack, Discord, Microsoft Teams, Telegram or your own webhook. You choose per channel what you want to receive, and incidents are grouped so one outage doesn't produce a hundred notifications.

Do you monitor SSL certificates and DNS as well?

Yes, always on. We track every certificate on your domains and warn you weeks before anything expires. On top of that we watch DNS changes, email authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC) and known vulnerabilities in your stack.

What is synthetic monitoring?

Real browsers replaying a flow you script: signing in, searching, checking out. It runs on a schedule, so you hear about it when a button quietly stops working even though the site itself is up.

Can I publish a public status page?

Yes. You build a status page with your own logo and colours, attach your own domain and let visitors subscribe to updates. The page keeps itself current from your monitors.

Is there an API?

Yes, a full REST API with tokens you manage yourself. There's also MCP support, so AI assistants like Claude and ChatGPT can read your monitoring.

Security & privacy

Where your data lives and how we protect it.

Where is my data stored?

Inside the European Union, in the Netherlands. All traffic runs over encrypted connections (TLS), and unencrypted connections are refused.

Are you GDPR compliant, and is there a data processing agreement?

Yes. We process data under the GDPR (EU 2016/679) and the Dutch implementation act. Our data processing agreement is published and ready to use without asking us first.

Are you ISO 27001 or SOC 2 certified?

Not yet. We shape our processes around ISO 27001 and have a SOC 2 engagement planned, but we do not hold those certificates today. Our trust page lists per standard exactly what already applies and what's still on the roadmap.

Can I export or delete my data?

Yes, on request, in line with your rights under the GDPR. Email support@infaris.com; monitoring data can also be exported yourself from the reports.

Support & incidents

Getting help, and seeing whether it's on our end.

How do I get help?

Through the contact form, or by emailing support@infaris.com. Mention your organisation and, for a monitoring problem, the domain or monitor involved, so we can look straight at it.

How do I know whether Infaris itself is down?

On our own status page, which runs on the same monitoring our customers use. The header and footer of this site also show the current status at all times.

Where is the technical documentation?

At docs.infaris.com. It covers guides per product, the API reference and integration steps.

I'm missing a feature. Can I request it?

Please do. Send your request through the contact form and describe what you're trying to achieve. We're a small team, so in practice we mostly build what customers actually ask for.

Still have questions?

Ask through the contact form or email support@infaris.com. Something not working? Check the status page first, so you know straight away whether it's on our end.
